Hello, I’m Reverend Patt Margolis and it is my pleasure to be with you at one of the most meaningful times in your life. The two of you have decided to make what you have already said privately to each other, now public, and in your community of family and friends.

Love is a gift from God and I will help you invite God into your holy union. Respectful of your traditions, history, and the new family you will be, we can plan a worship that is a celebration of the new creation unfolding in your marriage. I have planned many weddings that reflected the varied and different cultures that we come from including intercultural, interracial, and interreligious.

God invites us to sing and dance, to celebrate with joy when we decide to commit our lives to one special person. Jesus’ first miracle occurred at a wedding and we are called to remember that Jesus came so that all our time would be marked with the knowledge that we are loved by God first, freeing us so that we can love each other.

There are so many ways to plan a wedding -- perhaps as many ways as there is to say "I love you!" I will help you with suggestions and help you make decisions to guarantee that your day is unique, a day filled with laughter, solemnity, and the special moments that are distinctive to you two and your families.

I am an ordained Lutheran pastor who has also been called and licensed by the Episcopal Church. I bring almost twenty years of experience to your wedding day.

I look forward to beginning the conversation with you of what your wedding day will be; a new creation, something new before God and the world, the beginning of your life together.

 
           
 

As mentioned, I am a Lutheran pastor currently serving an Episcopal church of approximately 1000 members. We have four Sunday masses, and a weekday mass.

I was ordained in 2001 by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The following year I received Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary, New York City. In 2005 I was licensed to officiate within Episcopal Church of NY Diocese.
 

I have been trained in the family/marriage counseling courses offered by Prepare/Enrich.

I am also the mother of three grown daughters.!
